Shower and Porch Soffit

The Soffit for the porch is finished and we are now ready to install the lights and handrails for the Deck.

We have started the finish work on the shower so we can install the tile. We have the seat, the Header and the step finished for the shower and we are just about finished with the Durock base for the tile.

Covered Deck Soffit

All the J Channel is up and ready for the soffit. By this weekend we should have all of it installed and ready to move on to hand rails for the deck. I am currently at a point where I am looking into a retaining wall for the driveway that enters the Garage. Mud work and ceiling stomping will also be finished by this weekend.

Kyla's Work

I can't believe we are 75% finished with this thing. It is almost is surreal. I have been working diligently on staining all doors, trim, baseboard, along with any other board on the face of America. We are sort of jumping the gun on this portion, but want the materials to be ready when it is ready to be installed.

Drywall should be finished this week and we should start sanding. After that "Jay The Painter" will come in and primer everything. Once that is completed, first thing is first, we are painting the kitchen so the cabinets can start going up. I ordered all of our appliances last weekend and am so exited. I had the best experience at Lowe's while buying them. Thanks Janet!

I don't have many pictures I can share because most of the things that I have picked out and purchased are not even close to being put up. However, I am sure that when they go up, I will post a ton of photos.

Finished up the Soffit

Finished up all the soffit on the dormers and the small over hang on the roof of the bedroom. Installed more permabase on the Fireplace.

Mud Work, Stain, and Stairs

Mud work is getting done this week and the cabinets should be here by today. The preparation of the steps are complete. All the mud work can now get finished. All but one Door is stained and all the hinges and screws are painted. Mud work should be finished by the middle of this month and we will move on to paint, tile and cabinets. Trim work and flooring will not be far behind. While that is underway, we will be outside finishing up the deck rails and the retaining wall.
